Minutes - November 4, 2009

The meeting was opened by President Ken Simmons at 1930.
Approval of the October 7, 2009 minutes as e-mailed to the members was motioned by Dave C. and 2nd by Earl D. The motion carried.
Treasure's Report: Bob A.

1. Balance in the account $2582.50.

1. Committee Report:
   1. Safety: Jerry H. Jr. - No reports of violations.
   2. Lawn Care: - David C. - The watering system has been drained for the Winter. It was mentioned that a gopher gun and plant sterilant be purchased. $30 for the gun and up to $400 for the sterilant. The parking areas, perimeter of the flying field and the access road to be treated. Key person - Bob M.
2. Flight Simulator Status: Richard P. and the hobby store.
3. Road Repair Project: David C. key person - David said the grader operator can't be located but he will keep trying.
4. Shed clean up: Jerry J. key person - Jerry said he is looking for two heavy duty shelves to use for storage in the shed and will find some before Spring clean up.
5. Winter inside flying: Ken S. key person - Ken is still working with the Fruitland school district to get either the elementary or the middle school gyms. If insurance is required by us to use them the cost will be $60 for AMA insurance. Bob A. said OMS (old gym) in Ontario should be available if the Fruitland schools fall through.

1. Combat Meet is scheduled in Pocatello on July 17, 2010.
2. Club 2010 Event Planning Meeting: Those interested in planning next years events are invited to attend.
   1. When: Saturday, January 9, 2010.
   2. Where: Salsa Grill, 1619 N. Whitly, Fruitland.
   3. Time: Noon.
3. Final Club Officer nomination: Incumbant officers have been confirmed to remain in positions for 2010.
4. Club Christmas Party: Ken S. key person
   1. When: Saturday, December 5
   2. Where: Sizzlers - Ontario
   3. Time: 7 - 10 PM
   4. Officers will be installed for 2010. Ken S. key person
   5. Review of SRVM Club activities for 2009. Jerry H. Sr. key person
   6. Gifts are encouraged to be brought for an exchange. A limit of $10 - 15 and men bring a man's gift, girls bring a girl's gift. Please wrap and label them as such, man - girl. Jerry J. key person for the swapping activity.
5. Next meeting - December 5, 2009, at Sizzler, 7 - 10 PM.
