SNAKE RIVER VALLEY MODELERS

Minutes - March 4, 2009

The meeting was opened by President Ken Simmons at 1930.

Approval for the minutes of February 4, 2009 as e-mailed to the members was motioned by Dave C. and 2nd by Scott P. The motion carried.

Treasurer's Report: Bob A.

1. Balance in check book $2516.58.
2. A motion to accept the Treasurers Report was made by Dave C. and 2nd by Scott P. The motion carried.

1. Committee Report:
   1. Weed Control: David C. assisted by Bob M. Weed control has not been applied. It will be soon.
   2. Safety: Jerry H. Jr. - Not present. Dave C. commented that he recently surveyed the no-fly zone at the flying field. It looks like it provides adequate protection for pilots and spectators.
2. Flight Simulator: In the possession of Richard K. and Todd H.
3. Club dues: Bob A. reminded members of 2009 dues. The gate combo will be changed soon and Ken S. will e-mail and phone paid club members the new information.
4. Indoor Fun Fly Report: Jerry H. Jr. - Not present. Others said a good time was had. A lot of choppers and some fixed wing A/C were flying.
5. Swap Meet - Final Planning:
   1. Date: Saturday, March 7.
   2. Time: Set up 0930. Start 1000.
   3. Members to bring a 12 pack of drinks, a cooler w/ice, cookies etc. A donation container will be set up for the food. Proceeds to go to the club.
   4. Sellers cost $5 and a donation of 10% of the sales, if possible, is requested.
   5. Sellers need to bring own table.
   6. If sale activity slows, inside flying will be possible.

1. April meeting will at the flying field, weather permitting, otherwise meet at the hobby shop.
2. Float Fly - Bob A./Lynn H. It was discussed that a demo by the Emmett Float Fly Group be given in April for the benefit of the SRVM Club.
3. A motion to adjourn was made by Lynn H. and 2nd by Dale C. Motion carried.
